Growing up in Detroit long before there were such things as the internet, cable
TV and game consoles, Michael was a voracious reader. When he received an
encyclopedia in junior high, he read about everything that caught his eye, from
the first volume to the last. The library was an unending mine of information
and exposed Michael to the science fiction of the Golden Era. Later, auto racing
became the focus of Michael’s attention. Despite family objections he pursued
his dream and became a winner in his second season. A class championship
followed. Always looking for a challenge, Michael began writing short stories
and has over 50 stories in print. “I enjoy a challenge,” he says. “Don’t tell me
I can’t do something, because that’s the best way to get me to go out and do it,
just to show you you’re wrong.” Michael’s latest challenge, besides continuing
to write, is to embark on an acting career. He has recently worked in movies, on
TV and in print. Michael says he’s “terminally single” and lives on the south
side of Chicago. |
